Welcoming Dr V. Anilan to the Ezra-Macquarie Advisory Panel

We are pleased to welcome Dr V. Anilan to the Ezra Macquarie Group Advisory Panel as our newest expert in transport and energy transition.

Dr Anilan brings a rare combination of academic rigour and operational depth. Over more than 12 years leading transport enterprises, he has developed a deep understanding of how mobility systems actually work, and what it takes to transform them. Today, his research and advisory work focuses on one of the defining challenges of our era: how governments and industries can navigate the shift to electrified, low-carbon mobility in a way that is economically sound and equitable.

His expertise spans the full spectrum of the energy-mobility nexus, from EV uptake modelling and charging infrastructure strategy to battery economics, precinct electrification, and the integration of transport demand with grid constraints. He has advised on these questions across Singapore, Australia, and the wider Asia–Pacific, working with policymakers, industry leaders, and multilateral agencies.

Dr Anilan's published research reflects this breadth. His paper Promoting the Uptake of Battery Electric Vehicles: Why and How Should Governments Invest in the Transition? directly addresses the strategic and fiscal question at the heart of EV policy, offering governments a grounded framework for prioritising and structuring their investments in the shift to electric mobility.

At Ezra Macquarie, he will strengthen our capacity to support clients navigating complex mobility and energy transitions, offering independent evaluation, scenario analysis, and strategic advice grounded in evidence.
